Google's AI Overview — the AI-generated summary that appears at the very top of search results — now shows up on over 60% of searches. Before a user sees a single organic result, they see an AI answer. And that answer may or may not include your brand.

What Is Google AI Overview?

AI Overview (formerly Search Generative Experience) is Google's attempt to answer search queries directly in the results page, pulling from multiple sources and synthesising a response. It appears above the traditional "10 blue links."

For informational queries — "best brand reputation tools", "how to check what Google says about my company" — AI Overview is now the dominant placement.
